It began with a vision.

A group of local residents, business owners and seasoned educators met over coffee to discuss ways they could help improve the community in which they live and work. The group always came back to the importance of education and what, they believed, can change the education in Southeast Delaware County.

What do we believe our children need today to be successful in school and beyond?

Giving families a new view for the future

Vision Academy Charter School of Innovation is a proposed public charter school located in the Upper Darby School District that is projected to open in August 2021. The school will grow from kindergarten through fourth grade in its first year to serving kindergarten through eighth grade when fully enrolled. Families at Vision Academy Charter School of Innovation will find a new way of learning designed to 

• support individual needs 
• grow individual responsibility, and 
• give every child access to the information and tools to be successful
