Vision Academy Charter School of Innovation

Learning Beyond the Classroom

Developing Global Citizens Through World Languages

At Vision Academy Charter School of Innovation, learning a new language is about more than memorizing words. It helps students communicate confidently, understand different cultures, appreciate new perspectives, and prepare for success in an interconnected world.

Starting Early

World Languages Beginning in Kindergarten

Our proposed academic program will introduce every student to at least one world language beginning in kindergarten. Starting early gives children more time to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while strengthening their overall communication and intellectual development.

Language in Action

Learning Beyond Traditional Lessons

Students will have opportunities to use their language skills beyond traditional lessons through:

01

Cultural projects and celebrations.

02

Conversations and collaborative activities.

03

Music, literature, art, and geography.

04

Technology-enhanced learning experiences.

05

Presentations and real-world applications.

06

Connections with families and the broader community.

Global Citizenship

Communication, Culture, and Opportunity

Through world-language learning, students will develop curiosity, confidence, empathy, and respect for others. They will learn that language and culture connect people and open doors to new educational, personal, and professional opportunities.

Our goal is to prepare students to become articulate, culturally aware, and responsible global citizens who are ready to succeed in high school, college, careers, and the world beyond the classroom.

Program Note

A Program Designed for Growth

Specific world-language offerings will depend on the school’s approved educational program, staffing, and available resources.
